The Royal British Legion (TRBL) supports serving members of the Armed Forces, Veterans and families throughout the world. Spain is part of this worldwide support.
TRBL is a dynamic and pro active organisation which supports beneficiaries in Spain and is appreciative of the difficulties sometimes experienced here and has the ability to tailor help to your specific needs. The following areas are examples of the types of assistance that we provide.

Are you having difficulties in accessing health and social care in Spain? Are you aware of your entitlements? Please call us or email to see if we can assist. We liaise closely with the local Consular team when necessary.
We can assist and advise on the process for obtaining a disability certificate and blue badge.
We liaise with Help, Age Concern MABS and other local charities both in the coastal and inland areas to provide help where we cannot provide support.
Befriending
We can on occasion offer hospital and housebound visiting to beneficiaries and you should contact your local Branch Welfare Representative through the Branch or welfare Co-ordinator to discuss this. Where distance is an issue we can offer a telephone service through the Welfare Co-ordinator.
Grants
Beneficiaries can request help for a variety of reasons, such as home adaptions due to changes In health or circumstances. For example assistance may be available for the provision of ramps, stairlifts, bathroom adaptions or one off payments to install security and safety systems. Also assistance may be considered to enable individuals to remain in their own home with the provision of articles of furniture and white goods. (Financial caps may apply). All the aforegoing is to provide assistance in improving the quality of life.
Later in life mobility may become an issue. There are various charities that can lend equipment free of charge and also organisations who can provide on a reasonable rental basis hospital beds and pressure relieving mattresses. We can also provide guidance and assistance with the provision of wheelchairs mobility scooters and other aids.
Contact
You do not need to be a member of TRBL to request assistance. You or your loved ones and friends served their country selflessly and we are here to provide support wherever we can.
Anyone may make the initial referral to the Welfare Co-ordinator with the permission of the potential beneficiary.
