A woman suspected of being involved in car bombings in Columbia has been arrested in Orense in a joint operation between the National Police of Spain and Columbia. Her brother has been arrested in Columbia as he tried to flee to Venezuela.
It is thought that the woman was actively involved in encouraging young Columbians to get involved in terrorist activity but she is not thought to have been involved in any violence herself. Her brother is thought to have been involved with the co-ordination of logistics in Columbia.
The woman is wanted by Columbian authorities for her involvement in three violent attacks and for her involvement in obtaining funding for the terrorist group.
