Our week started with a very closely fought ‘Change Partners’. Only one point separated the top three teams! With a very modest 75 points (the record is 94 set in 2016) the winners were Joyce McClusky, Peter Wickham, the fictional Albert and surprisingly, yours truly. Joyce also happened to be in that record breaking team.
Tom Hardie was top dog on Wednesday, not only winning the Stableford with 39 points but also carding two ‘2’s. The other ‘2’s went to Marleen Billen (her first time ever) and ……..me! In second place on the day was Peter Wickham with 36 points followed by Maria Oldenziel with 35. Three players finished with 34 points, Annemarie Weisheit, Bryan Neal and Lindsay Forbes.
For the third time this week Peter Wickham was again ‘in the money’ when his team won the ‘Counter’ game. Assisted by Bryan Neal, Mike Chapman and Nora Betts they scored 100 points which is only 6 points short of our all time record!
One final thought; many a golfer prefers a buggy to a caddy because it can’t count, criticise or laugh.
Pues, hasta la semana que viene
