Illness reduced the number of entries for El Plantio 2’s team game on the 8th January from 18 to 14 (get well soon Mimi) The competition was therefore changed from a 6 x 3 member ‘Waltz’ to a 7 x 2 member ‘Joker’ competition. As conditions were a frosty 2 degrees on the course, proceedings were delayed for 30 minutes, which did not detract from the standard of play, as several good scores were returned.
Nearest the pins: Hole 2 – Dave Southwell, Hole 6 – John O’Brien
In third place was Allen Robinson and John O’Brien with 78 points.
In second place was John Burke and Mike Davies with 80 points..
In first place was Lyn Young and David Swann with 81 points.
If anyone would like to join our Society, we play at El Plantio Golf Club every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
We use both courses – the Par 3 nine hole course and the main 18 hole course, so we cater for all abilities. The membership rates are very competitive, so call for more details.
