The Musical Union Horadada has finished third in the National Competition of Music Bands held in Murcia last Saturday. The group Musical de Blanca finished first while la banda de Bullas came second. The Pilar band was directed by Eduardo José Zaragoza.
Each of the bands had the was required to play 3 pieces of music before the Judges. The Horadada selection was ‘The witch and the saint’ by Steven Reineke, the Paso Doble ‘Rocío’ by Juan Manuel Molina, and the free work ‘Hispaniola’ by Jan de Haan .
The councillor for Culture in Pilar said that the result brought great credit to the band and to the town and the musical union should be heartily congratulated on their outstanding performance.
