A Barcelona Court will begin to hear evidence from today against a teacher of an extracurricular activities centre in Malgrat de Mar (Maresme), accused of sexually assaulting three students from the centre, all minors, between the years 2020 and 2022.
The man is accused of winning the trust of the girls from a year before the events by sending messages and organised up to seven meetings with them.
The majority were in early 2022, when up to three penetrative rapes occurred. The Prosecutor’s Office is asking for sentences totalling 42 years in prison, in addition to restraining orders and disqualification from working with minors as soon as he can be released. Compensations of 50,000, 18,000 and 12,000 euro, respectively, are also set for the three victims.
The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence of one and a half years in prison and six years of disqualification of two Guardia Civil officers who, during an operational control, ordered a complete stripping of three young people, whom they stopped while they were driving. in a vehicle on the AP-6, at the El Espinar toll (Segovia), towards Madrid.
The court has rejected the appeals filed by the two convicts against the ruling of the Provincial Court of Segovia that imposed the prison sentences and disqualification for three crimes against moral integrity, with the mitigating factor of undue delays. A third agent was acquitted.
French low-cost fashion retailer Kiabi is implementing an expansion strategy in Spain by launching a new, more compact store model.
In order to strengthen its presence in the Spanish market, Kiabi plans to open stores of up to 800 square metres, complementing its traditional establishments of approximately 1,500 square metres, in an attempt to increase the capillarity and penetration of the brand in the country.
Historically, Kiabi stores have been located in malls and shopping centres, locations that offer large footfall and easy access for consumers. The company aims for these new stores, which aim to be operational by 2025, to offer collections aimed at “the whole family”, thus maintaining the essence of the brand that focuses on accessibility and authenticity.
