What a terrific amount was raised toward the Poppy Appeal by the raffle for the electric GTech bike that was donated by keen cyclist Sharron Mather and her husband Ken.
The final amount which was announced last week by organiser Mick ‘the Grip’ Reeves, was 1890 euro. Thank you so much to all those who participated. The money really will be put to good use.
The winning ticket was draw by Sharron at the Clubhouse Restaurant, Vistabella Golf, with proprietor Robin Parkes acting as the adjudicator.
The winner of the bike was Doug House from Bar UK in Torre de la Horadada with the consolation prize, of four Vistabella green fees and buggies, won by Simon Lee from The Plaza Golf Society based at The Ale House in Villamartin Plaza.
Unfortunately Doug couldn’t attend the prize giving so Lynn accepted the bike outside the Bar UK last week.
Once again, grateful thanks for all the money raised and to all who helped in making the final total so successful.
