Quote: Cabo Roig ‘I can also see there are lots of bins there, so it looks like we’re opposite a tip’
A couple on the TV series ‘A Place in the Sun’ were outbid on a property in Villamartin – having previously been put off a property in Cabo Roig, because it was opposite a ‘tip’.
Presenter, Leah Charles-King, tried to help Lee and Louise find their dream home in Villamartin.
The couple were searching for a three bed villa, with an outdoor pool that was within walking distance of the beach.
They had maximum budget of £220,00 to find their perfect property.
They saw a four bedroomed villa in Lomas de Cabo Roig, and although impressed with the price of just over £187,000, they were less so when they found out that they had to share a pool with 27 other properties.
Louise was also concerned the home overlooked a wasteland: “I can also see there are lots of bins there, so it looks like we’re opposite a ‘tip’,” she said.
However, the viewing proved to be a short: “Honestly, it’s not cutting the mustard for me,” said Louise.
Lee agreed: “We’re not going to buy it, so there is no point, it’s just not going to happen,” he said.
They were, however, impressed by the final home, which was a four-bed villa in Villamartin.
The home was priced at £222,222, but unfortunately, after they had been involved in a bidding war – they weren’t able to secure the property – and vowed to continue their search.
