The tropical gardens and landscaped pool and waterfalls of Camping International Resort La Marina, was the setting for the XIII Butterfly Charity Ball organised by Mary Chambers & Sue Rogers. The event raised an outstanding €6,378.15 for The Butterfly Children Charity, DEBRA. 
The glittering annual event hosted by Tommy Rogers was held on Friday 22nd September, with 200 guests gathered for a spectacular evening of good food, wine and top entertainment courtesy of Rob Sweeney, also the chance to win and buy some unique, one off gifts in the raffle and auction.
The after dinner speech was given by Mary and she announced that the charity was celebrating 10 years in Urb. La Marina. Mary mentioned since the shop opened in Urb. La Marina the support and friendship given to the charity has been unconditional and the children and their families know you are always there supporting them every step of the way. 
Before the entertainment started Tommy presented the winners of the Lucky Numbers Cameron Stewart, Brian Jones and Di Ennis with their €50 prize money and €100 was given back to the charity. The entertainment started and the dance floor was soon full with everyone enjoying the music provided by Rob Sweeney.
In the interval Tommy started with Heads & Tails with all the money going to the charity. The raffle was drawn and Colin Paxton won top prize of €200 travel vouchers with many other prizes including Kindle, Restaurant & Beauty Vouchers, Gigi´s Boutique & MIST Jewellery Vouchers, Hampers and Camping International Resort providing Marina Senses Spa & Wellness Vouchers. The auction helped to increase the total with our guests bidding competitively for week-end breaks in Madrid, Costa del Sol and many Golfing Vouchers.
To celebrate 10 years in La Marina this year there was an opportunity to buy one of 20 Golden Butterflies for €50 each with the winner collecting €500. Because of our guests generosity all Golden Butterflies were sold and the winners were the table of Jo & Mel Young who collected €500. We received generous individual donations through-out the evening which allowed us to raise this amazing amount of money. Rob Sweeney continued to entertain us and in minutes the dance floor was once again full.
The Butterfly Children Charity would like to thank everyone who helped make this event so successful, Local business, Golf Courses and Hotels who donate so willingly to our cause. Special thanks to Tommy Rogers who continues to Host this event and ensures we raise this amazing amount of money.
