If you are looking for a special present for Mother’s Day (which in Spain is celebrated on the 5th of May), you’re sure to find it at the arts and crafts fair, which is held in the port of Jávea. They normally open every Sunday morning, but so that you have every chance of finding something original, they will also open on Saturday, the 4th of May, with the same opening times: from 11 am till 2 pm or even later. And since they are all true artisans, they can make you something special if you can’t find what you are looking for.
You can choose between watercolours and paintings (how about a portrait of your mother’s pet?), original wooden bags, beautiful ceramics, paper maché sculptures, pyrography done on the spot, jewelry boxes and jewelry with exclusive designs in ceramic, silver and other metals, macramé, fimo, leather or wood. A handmade present is sure to be appreciated by mom!
