It has been announced that the Orihuela Local Police now have bulletproof vests.
The councillor for security said “This is an important investment of 31,000 euros to provide our officers with the means to carry out their work safely,” confirming that the vests will be made available to the officers immediately.
“With this purchase of bulletproof vests we are reinforcing our commitment to guarantee the safety and protection of our Local Police, so that they can carry out their work safely in any risk situation”.
The vests have the following characteristics:
– Ballistic protection: designed to resist bullet impacts and provide security for officers in dangerous situations.
– Resistance against knives and stabbing: the waistcoats offer resistance against attacks with knives.
– Adaptation to female physiognomy: the waistcoats supplied to women have been adapted to their physiognomy.
– Weight and comfort: despite its robustness, the weight of the waistcoat is 1735 grams, which guarantees the comfort and mobility of the officers. In addition, they are fitted with ballistic panels, a moisture protection cover and an outer cover.
