07.03.24 – With the colder and windy weather predicted, the members of the La Marina Golf Society packed their sweaters into their golf bags and headed off to Roda, for this week’s match for the Captains versus Vice Captain’s Trophy. The weather turned out to be warmer than predicted and the course looked in great condition, with the sunny weather continuing throughout the day everyone had an enjoyable round of golf.
After the game, everyone stayed at Roda’s clubhouse for the day’s presentation, where Captain Bill Stobo presented the winning Vice Captain, Tony Moore, and his team with their prizes.
Tony’s winning team were Tony Ollier, Colin Taylor, Vic Smith, Elspeth McDavitt, Sue Saunders, Mikael Olsson, Annika Ansegard, Roy Harris, Shona Leighton, Mark Leigh and Iain Lyall
The nearest the pin winners were as follows, on hole 2 was Elspeth McDavitt, on hole 7 was Tony Ollier, on hole 11 was Sue Saunders, hole 13 was Shona Leighton, who also won the 2’s pot. Well done to all of the day’s winners.
