Taylor Swift will perform a second concert at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid on May 29 in addition to the one already scheduled for the 30th of that month. The announcement was made on the North American singer’s website this Wednesday.
At the moment they are the only Spanish stops on the European part of their tour ‘The Eras Tour’, with Paramore as the opening act.
Swift has only performed once before in Spain, also in Madrid, in 2011. She had planned to be the star of Mad Cool 2020, which was suspended due to the pandemic.
The European stage of her tour will begin with two concerts in Paris, on May 9 and 10, ending with dates, in London, on August 16 and 17.
There will also be concerts in Stockholm, Lisbon, Lyon, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw and Vienna, before the tour ends in the British capital, where there will be four concerts in total.
As a result of the Swift tour Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid have filed a request to move their final game of the season so that she can have more time setting up for her Eras Tour at their iconic Bernabeu stadium.
Madrid are set to play Real Betis at home on Sunday, May 24 and the popstar is due to perform at the Bernabeu on Thursday, May 30 as part of the European leg of her shows.
But, according to The Athletic, Real have requested the game be moved forward a day to Saturday, May 23 to give them more time to prepare for the concert.
