The councillor for Social Welfare, Agustina Rodríguez, has announced details of a socio-educational project aimed at mothers and fathers to prevent disruptive behaviour amongst their children.
The initiative is called “Hablamos de tú a tú” and will take place during the months of March and April at the Centro Cívico Alameda del Mar in Orihuela Costa.
“The Department of Social Welfare has organised ten group sessions, divided into different age groups, from 3 to 6 years, from 7 to 11 years and from 12 to 17 years,” said the Orihuela Costa councillor. The aim of the project is “to provide parents with the tools necessary to prevent disruptive behaviour, and subject to be covered will include relationships, the educational model, rules and reinforcement, social networks and new technologies, behavioural disorders and resources available in the area”.
“We want to prevent problems associated with poorly adjusted educational styles and trends and thereby improve the lives of our children and adolescent,” said the councillor, who also indicated that the sessions will be taught by municipal staff from the Social Services of the coast.
