La Lonja auditorium in Orihuela will host this Saturday 17th February, at 7.00pm, the first ‘Love’ Charity Gala. A solidarity event organised by Networks Theatre with the collaboration of the Orihuela Town Hall Culture Department, which aims to recognise and celebrate the work and dedication to animals carried out daily by the workers and volunteers of Asoka Orihuela, the non-profit association responsible for managing the municipal animal protection centre. All the funds raised will be donated in full to the organisation.
Tickets, priced at 5 euros, can be purchased in advance at the offices of the Municipal Animal Protection Centre and at Networks Academy, in calle San Agustín 25, in Orihuela. They can also be purchased at the box office on the day of the event. Also, those who cannot attend but wish to collaborate, can do so by sending via ‘Bizum’ the amount of the ticket to the phone number 673509069 with the concept ‘Fila Cero Gala Love’.
The gala will have “LOVE” as its main theme, in which attendees can enjoy a pleasant evening full of music and versions of some of the best love songs of all time, performed by a choir of over 20 people. Among other surprises, the ‘Peludos Friendly’ award will be presented during the event. This is an acknowledgement that Asoka Orihuela gives to people or institutions that stand out in the protection of animals in the municipality, which this year goes to the media company Grupo Radio Orihuela for its collaboration and commitment in this area reflected in many ways, such as broadcasting the slot ‘Hay un amigo en mí’ (You’ve got a friend in me’) in the radio magazine ‘Hoy por hoy Vega Baja’ to promote the adoption of pets.
