Virgilio Estremera Saura took office on Monday morning as the new General Secretary of the Plenary Session of the Torrevieja City Council on a part-time basis, in the presence of the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón, and the Councilor for Personnel and Internal Affairs, María José Ruiz.
After taking up his post, Virgilio Estremera met the councillors of the Government team along with his colleagues and other municipal staff from the Torrevieja council.
The mayor welcomed him and wished him the best in the development of his duties, after which he expressed his gratitude and recognition to Pilar Vellisca Matamoros, recently retired, who has been in charge of the General Secretariat of the Plenary for more than 30 years, for all her dedication.
The new plenary secretary will divide his time between the two municipalities of Torrevieja and Orihuela.
