The Alicante Provincial Court is hearing evidence against five men accused of being part of a criminal organisation specialised in the sale and distribution of drugs, especially cocaine and heroin, from a house in San Vicente del Raspeig, where they offered buyers the opportunity to consume the drugs their home.
The Prosecutor’s Office maintains that, at least until December 2018, the defendants sold drugs from the house and allowed clients to stay to consume the narcotics in the house, which they had equipped for this purpose with strong security measures such as armoured doors, cameras, bars, and an extraction device which could be used in the event of a police intervention.
According to sources from the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV), some of the defendants were dedicated to guarding the facilities, others to supplying drugs and collecting profits, and others to attract buyers and users of the drug store.
On December 18, 2018, during the entry and search of the house, one of the accused gave two of the police officers a strong push when he discovered that two men who wanted to access the house were agents who had posed as drug addicts to get them to open the doors of the house.
The Prosecutor’s Office requests sentences ranging between five and six and a half years in prison for the defendants for the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, against public health and resisting a law enforcement agent.
