There was a Bronze medal for Charo Esquiva representing the Torrevieja Tennis Club at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
She defeated the Swedish player Lea Nilsson 64 62 in the match for third place gaining another a new medal for the Spanish delegation that travelled to Maribor in Slovenia.
Next Monday she will represent Spain in the European championship for under-16 nations that is being held on the Greek island of Rhodes.
