Monstera deliciosa – the Swiss cheese plant – named, due to the large holes in its lush, deeply cut leaves.
Monstera deliciosa grows best in a bright or partly shaded spot, avoiding direct sunlight, in well draining soil.
Choose its place wisely, as it will need plenty of space and can become quite large.
As it grows it will also need support and suggest that you grow it up a moss pole, where you can tuck its aerial roots.
Only water when the top inch or so of soil has become almost completely dry. Feed once a month in the spring and summer time.
Occasionally wipe the leaves, to keep them shiny and dust free.
