The Valencian Community will host the II National Congress on Civil Protection and Emergencies (II Congreso Nacional de Protección Civil y Emergencias), which will bring together more than 200 experts and professionals in emergency management on October 17 and 18.

The meeting, which will be held at the Valencian Institute for Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE), will convene specialists to discuss the new challenges of the Civil Protection system.

The regional secretary for Security and Emergencies, José María Ángel, attended the 2023 International Defence and Security Fair in Madrid, together with the Director General of the Interior, Salvador Almenar. Ángel, has advanced that “the Valencian Community will host the second edition with the challenge of consolidating itself as a reference forum for experts and agencies involved in emergencies to promote training and the exchange of knowledge and experiences, as well as offer a showcase of the latest advances in technology applied to emergencies”.

The first edition was held at the National School of Civil Protection in Madrid last June, and served to lay the foundations for the creation of a space for collaboration and the search for solutions and analysis of new challenges in emergencies with the aim of sharing best practices and promote the development of Civil Protection.
