The Orihuela Plenary met in an extraordinary session on Tuesday to carry out the draw for the election officials who will make up the 76 polling stations for the regional and municipal elections on May 28.
Names were selected through a computer application, using which the selection of 228 people, both presidents and members, was made.
The draw was carried out using a systematic random sampling procedure among people between the ages of 18 and 69 who appear on the Orihuela electoral roll.
Presidents were selected from among those who have a Baccalaureate degree or higher, while the members were chosen from among those who have at least a school degree.
Once the list is published, those people who want to present objections may do so, within a period of 10 days. Those who are over 65 years of age can submit their resignation to the JEZ once they receive notification of their selection.
As the municipal and regional elections will be held on the same day, the polling stations will be common to both processes.
