The first baby to be born in Torrevieja hospital was a little later than usual, making an appearance on 1 January at 2:08 p.m.
Emilia Kultysheva weighed in at 2,890 gr.
It was the Hospital La Fe in Valencia who welcomed the first baby in the region, with Ana and Diego becoming parents just after the chimes of midnight.
