Residents have aired their views surrounding certain park play areas for children in Torrevieja, with minimal provisions, and also in a state of concern for the safety of minors.

“What an illusion when he goes out to run, while having a snack after school. In front of the school there is a ‘park’ full of illusions – and things to ride.
“Oh no! – it’s a little horse and little rubber parcels – is it to jump on the iron? They say that children are made of rubber. “That’s it – let’s see who has more and less bruises,” said Vicky la Borde.
Mariella Echegoyen Muga, said: “There was a park there – it was before 2007. That park was new, with modern slides, a garden, everything.
“The slide is now in an urbanization of Jardín del Mar, next to the pool, anyone who passes by can see it.
“I don’t know how a slide from a public park ended up in a private development.
“The point is that the park was new, and they broke it, burned it, destroyed it – in less than a year.
“Sharing the space between stoners and children, it couldn’t be, so the stoners broke it to be on their ball again. They never fixed it again, it stayed that way forever.”
Geanina Angelova Geany, said: “This is the Park of the mill, this is the only thing that children have to play!
“Let’s see if the mayor stops spending so much money on Christmas lights – and fixes the parks a bit.”
Charo Miguens said: “The truth is that yes, all the three turrets are very deteriorated in general. Let’s see if it’s true, and that they fix everything.”
Susana Molina Moya said: “Next to a school how many times have I complained, without answer?
“We are still the ‘great forgotten ones’ – who pay taxes that we only see shine in the centre – because, as far as I have seen on the arrangement plan, this park is not included.”
