The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) has approved a code of ethics and conduct that includes the ethical principles and values of good governance that should guide its actions, for which it provides for the creation of an ethics committee made up mostly of external people.
This code will regulate impartiality, confidentiality and the conduct that the staff must observe, especially with regard to conflicts of interest, details the independent entity.
It is an internal instrument of self-regulation and mandatory compliance that is structured in seven chapters, 40 articles, an additional provision, another transitory and two final provisions.
An Antifraud official will be integrated into the ethics committee, elected in a secret vote among the staff.
