EMERGENCY services evacuated people following a house fire located on the ground floor of Calle Moriones in Torrevieja.
Fire broke out in the kitchen, which lead very high flames and smoke, which alerted firefighters to evacuate four people from the upper floor of the building.
The two tenants of the affected ground floor were already out of danger upon the emergency services arrival.
Attending the incident included the Vega Sur Fire Station in Torreiveja, a commanding unit and a heavy urban fire engine, lead by a sergeant, a corporal and four firefighters.
Torrevieja local police intervened and cut off traffic on the affected section of the street, while the fire was extinguished. No injuries were reported.
