Henry de Bromhead trained Journey With Me under Rachael Blackmore tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info landed the Connolly’s Red Mills Irish EBF Auction Novice Hurdle at Naas on Saturday.
Six-year-old Journey With Me (4-11) under 11st 10lbs who gained a 3 lengths win ahead of Choice Of Words, is priced at 5-1 for the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
“We just said today that we would try and sit in and see would he be happy enough to settle in behind,” said De Bromhead.
“In a normally run race he would have – but Rachael really had to go on after half-a-mile.
“Nothing is set in stone, but in my head he is likely to go for the Ballymore,” said De Bromhead.
De Bromhead trained Marvel De Cerisy (7-1) ridden by Rachael Blackmore, tipped each-way by fromthehorsesmouth.info, finished second in the 25 runners GAA Maiden Hurdle over 1m 7f, behind winner Meet And Greet (9-2).
Willie Mullins trained Goven (6-4) tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info won the 28 runners GAA Maiden Hurdle over 1m 7f, under Mark Walsh gaining a 8 1/2 lengths win ahead of Thistle Ask (50-1) with Jakie Mac (150-1) third.
Mullins saddled each-way tip Whiskey Lullaby (4-1) to a place in the 23 runners Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle won by Sparkling Stars (15-2).
Elimay (2-13) trained by Willie Mullins tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info landed the Class 1 Listed Mares Chase over 2m, gaining a 5 lengths victory ahead of Court Maid.
