Carlos and Abraham on target for Racing San Miguel CF
The Rojiazules were on top throughout, with Formentera netting a consolation goal in the last minute.
Carlos netted to give Racing a 1-0 interval lead in a first half that saw the visitors lack a cutting edge, with Iván safeguarding between the sticks.
In the second half, the same trend continued, with the Sanmigueleros dominating the game, with a show of good football in sections.
Haste caused inaccuracies in the passing and there were constant interruptions because of fouls and forwards being offside, prior to Abraham netting Racing’s second goal, to secure a 2-0 win.
“It was three important points for the young Racing San Miguel team who hope to continue improving,” said a club spokesperson.
FCV updates protocol for clubs, due to positive Covid-19 cases
The Football Federation of the Valencian Community (FFCV) has updated it’s protocol to be followed by clubs in the event of the appearance of positive cases in their teams, due to the sixth wave of COVID-19.
To ensure the proper functioning of the competitions and avoid unnecessary suspensions, CIRCULAR 34 regulates the new actions for clubs.
Beginning on January 31, 2022, the postponement of a match can only be requested with five (or more) accredited cases.
In futsal and football 8 – with smaller squads – it will be up to the Competition Committee to assess each specific case to decide on the possible suspension.
