The Local Police in Elche arrested two men, ages 23 and 24, accused of stealing a stereo, a loudspeaker and a bag from the interior of two vehicles in the town.
The police received a call from a member of the public reporting to witnessing the breaking of a car window on Avenida de Crevillente.
The police attended the scene and saw the broken window, and after obtaining a description of the suspects they launched a search of the area together with the National Police.
The police quickly located the alleged perpetrators, who had separated after the alleged incident, but found one of them carrying the music equipment and the other had the speaker and the bag in his possession.
The latter, after being arrested, threatened to attack the police officers by adopting a fighting stance, although the officers report that they had no problem arresting him.
The two men were arrested and taken to police station where they will be brought before the courts.
