The National Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Sunday at the home of Real Madrid’s French striker, Karim Benzema , while the footballer was playing in the league match against Elche, at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.
The robbery occurred between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the player’s home located in the Madrid municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes.
The initial police investigation suggest that the thieves jumped the perimeter fences at the back of the house and accessed the garden through the pool area.
Then they broke the blinds and a window with maces to gain entry the house .
At the moment the value of the property stolen from the French footballer is unknown.
The National Police received notice of the robbery at 7:10 p.m. when the Benzema got back home after the match and found everything in a mess.
They activated the robbery button notifying the alarm centre and left the house in case there was a thief left inside.
It is understood that investigators found traces of blood inside the house that could belong to some of the robbers who were injured with the broken glass.
