A pool challenge match is to take place at The Courtyard in Los Montesinos on January 27 from 6pm with monies raised going to charity.
Drew Niblock, who has represented Northern Ireland at pool, is going head-to-head with Steve Ansell, of The Corner Flag, La Finca, Algorfa.
Larne based Drew, who has played snooker with the late Alex ‘Hurricane’ Higgins, said: “There will be a good crowd of support from both The Corner Flag and The Courtyard.”
The winner will donate proceeds to a charity of their choice, with Steve, sportingly giving Drew four frames start, in the first to 11 frames match.
Drew, 57, ex-deputy Mayor of Larne, who works in the Energy waste industry in Northern Ireland, said: “I am flying to Spain from Dublin and I’ll put in a few practise sessions ahead of the pool charity challenge.
“If successful in winning, proceeds will go to cancer research.”
Complimentary sausage and chips will be served to spectators, courtesy of Sam and James from The Courtyard, Calle San Lucas 6, just off the square.
