The Department of Youth has organised a free training course in aquatic lifeguarding on beaches, swimming pools and natural spaces (215 hours), which will take place from February to April 2022.
If you are between 18 and 30 years of age, and want to train to work as a lifeguard in the Valencian Community, the Youth Information and Animation Centre (CIAJ) offers this course to provide you with the knowledge and techniques necessary to be able to provide safety for users of water facilities, and attend to any health situations that may arise.
The dates of the course will be:
-Module 1: From February 23 to March 15, Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
-Module 2-5: From March 16 to May 3, Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the CIAJ Torrevieja.
Program:
-Topic 1: Social Skills and Employability (Mandatory 65 hours}
-Item 2. Lifeguard and first aid
-Issue 3: Aquatic lifeguard
-Subject 4: Module of beaches.
-Item 5: Initial training in the use of automatic and semi-automatic external defibrillators.
The diploma awarded is valid for working as a lifeguard on beaches, swimming pools and water parks in the Valencian Community.
Requirements: Students must be over 18 years of age, be in good physical shape, be a proficient swimmer and have completed Vocational Guidance.
