- Barcelona Conceded two in home win over Mallorca
While the Barcelona forwards once again put on a show in Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Real Mallorca, there are still a number of question marks over the defence.
The backline was once again unable to keep a clean sheet and they’ve now conceded 18 goals in 14 league matches this season.
In fact, the Blaugrana have only kept clean sheets on three occasions in LaLiga this campaign – against Getafe, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid and worryingly, they’ve conceded at least two goals in five different games.
Fortunately their attack is managing to cover over these defensive cracks at the moment with Messi and his teammates notching up 41 goals so far this season.
Their German keeper Ter StegenMarc-Andre ter Stegen let in another two goals against Mallorca, and should have done much better with the second strike from Ante Budimir.
However, he did make a couple of important saves to keep the score down and he also proved his worth in an attacking sense, providing an assist for Antoine Griezmann’s opener.
