Monday 25th November saw a happy return to normal for members of the Torrevieja U3A. Following the usual round of news and upcoming events, the meeting continued with an excellent and extremely informative presentation on our Solar system.
The narrative, which was accompanied by slides and videos, was not too long and was in easy to follow language. The presentation was made by Charles and Elizabeth of the Vega Baja Astronomy Group.
This was apparently Elizabeth’s first presentation and congratulations to her on her performance. It was well received and I am sure many people learnt a few things that they had previously been unaware of.
The mornings meeting was concluded with a selection of easy-listening songs provided by Terry Byrne. His performance started off in a similar vein to the earlier presentation by including songs such as “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Catch a Falling Star”
