Racing San Miguel CF new coach Dani Pérez Williscroft is happy to be returning ‘home’ following his appointment of the Valenciana 1st Regional Group 8 football club.
“I am very happy to be returning back home as a coach,” said Dani, ahead of the forthcoming 2019-20 season, that kick’s off in September.
Racing San Miguel CF topped the league table last season – one of the favourites to gain promotion to the Preferente – petering out in the latter part of the campaign.
“It is a very difficult challenge,” said San Miguel born Dani, who is set to bring players into the club, backed by new president Juan Manuel Lorente Ros.
However Dani says he cannot make big promises – but that he, staff, players and management are committed to the cause at the Vega Baja outfit.
“We do not want to delude the people, but without a hope there is no team,” said Dani.
“Racing San Miguel CF are a team that go ‘hand in hand’. We will show humility and commitment,” said Dani.
Dani added that there is a lot of hard work to be done upon his appointment: “Without hard work there is no reward,” said former Racing Playas de Orihuela coach Dani.
“Humility, commitment and hard work will be our values in the coming season,” said Dani, who achieved two consecutive promotions with Racing Playas de Orihuela in the last two seasons.
A spokesperson for Racing San Miguel CF said: “Fom the beginning we had no doubt that Dani was the person with the most experience to lead the team.
“Speaking on behalf of the club wish him all the luck in the world. We inform the fans that work on the configuration of the first team is underway.”
