IKEA will land in July at the Gran Vía shopping center with its store concept IKEA Diseña Alicante, which allows customers to customize designs for their home. With an area of 107 square meters, the Alicante center will be the fourth of this type of the Swedish multinational in the province ( Benidorm, Ondara and Torrevieja ).
Ikea Diseña Alicante is the format chosen by the company in Spain to be “more accessible, to be closer to consumers and to offer in a single space a complete experience of creation, planning and advice “, according to a statement from the chain.
Thus, customers will be able to ” design personalized projects for kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms and bedrooms”, as well as assistance to make “online purchases or hire collection, transport and assembly services”.
Gran Vía, acquired by Europe in 2017 , is located in the center of Alicante, a city that receives more than 4.4 million tourists a year. The 20,700 square meter shopping center has more than 75 stores , including the only Primark in the city, Inditex, H&M, a Carrefour hypermarket , among other establishments.
