A small but competitive group of 20 players attended The Plaza Golf Society event at Alenda. The round started with a small rain shower, but after the 2nd hole the weather was glorious.
Scoring was pretty good however as usual one player struggled more than most and propping up the event was visitor Tony Hawley with a below par 15pts!!
The 2’s pot provided three successes…well done to Phil De Lacy, Kev (9 Fingers) Bird and Big Ronaldo Temple. Nearest the pins sponsored by our excellent hosts, The Alehouse, saw Kev and Ronaldo up again with Neil Bason and Kathie Buzzeo who also took the best Lady prize as well as best Visitors score with 33pts off handicap 19…a good day’s golf for Kathie. Second best visitor on the day saw debutant Jonny Beamish coming in with 21pts of 15.
In Silver third place had the very consistent Ray Pullen 3rd with 32pts off 21 behind Neil Bason 33pts off 20 pipped by the evergreen Phil (47) Sully scoring 35pts off 13.
In Gold scoring was very close with Warren Harris third and missing out on count back to Ronaldo Temple both scoring 35pts off 7 and 5 respectively. Winning and best score of the day and not new to the podium was Callam Hitcham with a brilliant 38pts off just 1.
