Next Monday is International Dance Day and to celebrate it the Town Hall of Torrevieja together with the Municipal Institute of Culture and the Municipal School of Dance have put together a programme of events including the popular Dancing in the Street Marathon.
The event, which has been celebrated globally since 1982, will take place this Saturday 27 April from 5pm in the Piscinas Naturales, located on Torevieja’s seafront – Paseo Juan Aparicio.
The dance marathon, which is in its seventh edition, will feature the following local and regional dance schools and academies, who will each perform for around 20 minutes each: Raíces, Escuela de Danza y Espacio Holístico, Dharma Escuela de Baile, la Escuela Municipal de Danza, la Escuela Soul Dance Studio, la Academia de Danza QK, la Escuela de Danza María del Ángel, la Escuela de Baile Paya’s, el estudio de Danza Jacqueline Sánchez and the Ariel Muñoz Pereira Centre Danzalusión.
Spectators will also be able to enjoy a contemporary dance performance by the Red Fox company, which is directed by Cristina Rabasco.
