A driver was slightly injured on Thursday after embedding her car a perimeter wall surrounding the Polideportivo Venancio Costa de Almoradí.
The front part of the vehicle was completely implanted in the wall but fortunately the woman was able to get out of the car under her own efforts but was treated by the health services at the scene where, according to police sources, she was said to be in a state of shock.
It is thought that the driver lost control of the vehicle as she left a roundabout, following which she skidded, careered across the central reservation and footpath before crashing into the wall.
The events took place at lunchtime on Avenida Principe de España where, fortunately, despite the large amount of traffic and pedestrians in the area at the time, there were no injuries.
Local Police agents were quickly on hand with fire appliances but, happily, they were not required.
