Eleven members played in El Plantio’s club day but only seven competed in a Medalford due to four members playing in an inter-club competition. The games were played under clear skies but a cold wind made conditions very difficult. New member Paddy O’Brien made light of the conditions winning by a clear 7 points.
Second place belonged to the ever consistent Alistair Douglas who, for good measure, picked up both nearest the pin prizes.
Nearest the pins – Hole 1 and 5 – Alistair Douglas.
Second place – Handicap 7.7, Alistair Douglas – 15.3 points.
First place – Handicap.18, Paddy O’Brien – 8 points.
If anyone would like to join our Society, we play at El Plantio Golf Club every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. We use both courses – the Par 3 nine hole course and the main 18 hole course, so we cater for all abilities.
