The Maples played their final match at Monte Mar Bowls club, the sun shone which just enhanced the lovely setting and made the match a pleasure to play for everyone. The final result showed why the Maples topped their division this season. Shots 98 – 64. Pts 10 – 2.
Best winning rink goes to, D Toozer, J Obrien, skip D Sale. 23 – 7.
The Sycamores meanwhile were away to La Marina Pathfinders. Final score, shots 96 – 84. Points, 6 – 6. Best winning rink was P Lockley, M Lockley, skip M Brown. 31 – 9.
In the Winter League, we were at home to Emerald Isle. Final score was, shots – 73 – 90. Points 5 – 7. Best winning rink was J Webb, D Watt, G Watt, skip D Webb. 23 – 14.
Just two more games left in the Winter league to round off a very good season for us. Congratulations go to The Maples, winners of Discovery Division. The Cedars, winners of Southern League C Division and the Beeches winners of Fed 4s C Division South.
All our club competitions have finished and we look forward to our Presentation Evening at El Prada on Friday evening where we will be entertained by the fabulous Woody.
