- The Leader racing selections completed a 20,000-1 seven horse accumulative odds return when Don’t Do It Chelmsford (8.30) trained by Michael Appleby and ridden by Theodore Ladd, won at 6-4.
The Leader racing tipster Andrew Atkinson had the bookies running for cover on Saturday – with a quick fire double of odds over 50-1 – with 25-1 shot First Drift having the bookies all at sea!
The Ben Casey trained First Drift was tipped each way in the Peter O’Sullevan handicap hurdle over 2 miles 4 1/2 furlongs at Newbury (1.30).
Jockey Max Kendrick gained a 2 1/2 length victory ahead of Betameche (9-4f) to get Leader punters off to a great start.
King’s Advice, trained by Mark Johnson and ridden by Joe Fanning, defied top weight of 9st 9lb at Lingfield (1.35) returning at 11-8 in the Betway handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs.
Leader tip Gunfleet was a non runner in the 888 Sport handicap hurdle at Doncaster (1.50).
Following First Drift 25-1 and King’s Advice 11-8 winners, The Leader hit the bookies even harder – with over 8,000-1 acummalative odds – with selections returning to the winners enclosure.
Laughing Luis (10-1) was a winning selection at Newbury (3.45) the Nicky Henderson trained horse, ridden by Ned Curtis, landing the handicap hurdle over 2 miles and 1/2 a furlong, beating 9-4 favourite Distal Phil.
Fanaar (10-11) was a winning tip when landing the Ladbrokes Sprint Cup over 7 furlongs at Lingfield, ridden by Jim Crowley, the William Haggas trained horse beating 15-8 chance Deep Intrigue.
Swiss Pride (7-4) was another successful Leader tip, the Richard Hughes trained horse landing the Betway Maiden Stakes over 6 furlongs at Lingfield (4.25).
At Kelso Leader tip Fly Rory Fly (3-1) was successful under jockey Lucy Alexander (4.30).
“Delighted to win, I thought we’d got beat,” said trainer Nick Alexander.
Champagne City, an each way selection, finished second at 4-1 at Newbury.
