Gerry Lynch the Chairman of the Torrevieja Branch of the Royal British Legion, met with the Manager of the Iceland Store in Torrevieja, Mr James Lound.
During the period at Iceland last October/November, the Branch raised over Euros 4000 for the Torrevieja 2018 Poppy Appeal. This was the highest amount ever raised.
Gerry thanked the manager for allowing the Legion to exhibit their Poppies and receive donations for Poppy merchandise at his store. He also thanked the staff for their congenial and helpful attitude throughout the two week period.
The Manager has very kindly accepted an application from the Legion attend the Iceland Store later this year.
