It was the best 2 scores from 4 and all scores to count on the par 5’s format that we played on Monday (I don’t think it’s got a name but if you know better ……)
Our winners, officially with 93 points, were Nigel Price, Peter Radcliffe, Mike Mahony and Pete Dunn. They actually scored more than that but didn’t mark the card correctly! DQ?
Thank goodness Trevor Pulleyblank is going back to the UK until March next year, he won Wednesday’s stableford again, this time with 40 points. Joyce McClusky flew the flag for the ladies with 38 and in third place was Hendrick Oldenziel with 37 points. Bringing up the rear with 24 points was Ken Robertson, even though he managed to get two of the three 2’s today!
Friday’s ‘Texas Scramble’ was great fun and was our very own ‘Red Day’. All those competing played from the ladies tees. (Oh how I wish it was like this all the time!) Our winners, with a gross score of 6 under par (nett 58.4) were Bryan Neal, Peter Radcliffe, Joyce McClusky and (I’m delighted to say) yours truly.
