Very warm weather welcomed us back to Lo Romero , as always in immaculate condition, resulting in some heavy scoring , especially from our lady members.
This competition had been won twice in its short history by Sarah McCabe, but this year she had to settle for second place with her 39 points, having been eclipsed by captain Elspeth Craig’s excellent 40 points, helped by two perfect putts from the fringe. In third place with a very creditable 38 points was John Milton.
Nearest the pins went to Garry Garbett, Graeme Buchanan , Sarah Mccabe and Alan Craig.
The 2’s pot was shared by Sarah McCabe (again ) and Garry Garbett.
Prize giving took place during the evening at the la marina sports club when we were served an excellent 3-course meal by Helena and her staff.
