Charity fund-raising nights are back at the beautiful venue, formally known as El Alto La Dolores. Now renamed El Paraiso de Guardamar, and owned by two of the nicest people you could meet, Nico and Virginia. The food, service and ambience was everything you could want.
Andy Max provided fabulous entertainment with his unusual style of double-bass and vocals. Andy, who is quite new to the Costa Blanca, had the dance floor full from the very beginning with his mixture of good old rock ‘n’ roll, and songs from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Owner, Nico, joined Andy on stage for a couple of numbers, accompanying him with the harmonica.
The charities benefiting from this event where The Children’s Care Home Elche, and Stroke Association Spain. A total of 978 euros was raised, and this was donated in equal shares to the two charities.
There will be another fund-raiser next month, on Wednesday 13th June, with Johnny & The Roadhogs entertaining. This will be pure 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll, so dust off those drape jackets and blue suede shoes, and get down to El Paraiso for the best Rock ‘n’ Roll band around.
Tickets, priced at just 10 euros, which includes a meal, are available from the Restaurant itself; The Post Room Benijofar; Card Place in Benimar, and REDZ cafe bar in Quesada.
