A very beautiful day at Oliva Nova saw a small section of Pego Golf Society playing a Stableford game. The course was being hollow tined with only 9 holes playable and therefore no official game had been planned, with all Members free to arrange their own games.
The results of our small group of 11 players were as follows:
Joint winners each with 33 points Colin Foster and John Nicol
Joint second each with 32 points were Patrick Lynch and John Evans.
Not particularly good scores considering the course was in superb condition, probably the best it has been for a long time. Our four players were perhaps put off by the perennial problem of slow play, virtually every hole saw us waiting to play our shots.
