The Orihuela council has announced that it will subsidise the purchase of new electric vehicles for the promotion of sustainable mobility during 2018. The municipal spokesman, Rafael Almagro, announced on Tuesday that the Consistory will give up to 15,000 euros for people and businesses in the municipality who decide to buy new electric vehicles.
The subsidies will be under the program of the Department of Environment in order to promote sustainable mobility in the area.
Almagro explained that the total amount of the subsidy is 15,000 euros, and that the beneficiaries, who can be both individuals and businesses, will get a maximum of 675 euros for buying a new electric vehicle either through direct purchase or through financing arrangements.
