Great Britain V. Europe
The Camposol and Mazarrón Bay Bridge Club have held its Annual Great Britain (GB) versus Europe Bridge Tournament. The match was over two days with the first morning being in the Hotel Playa Grande in Puerto de Mazarrón and the second in the Trevi Bar on Sector B.
John VB fixed, sorry, arranged the teams and was helped with the organisation by Leen (pronounced “Lane”) and Iris, Chair. Anne and Carmen did the layouts and Hans tried to keep check of the noice level in Camposol.
The first leg on Monday was very close with GB getting 156 Imperial points (imps) and Europe only slightly ahead on 158 imps. The second leg on the Friday, with the help of some ringers, the Europe team rompted away 327 imps to GB’s 162 imps that gave Europe a Grand Total of 485 imps to GB’s 318 imps. Iris presented the >Jean Boone Cup to the winning Europeans.
There is bridge played at Camposol on Wednesdays and Fridays and at Puerto de Mazarrón on Mondays and Thursdays. All sessions start at 9 .30 am. For more information email camposolandmazarronbridgeclub@gmail.com
