If you’re a fan of 1960s music, you don’t want to miss Stagestruck’s next production ‘From a Jack to a King’ coming soon at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre on the 17th, 18th and 19th May.
This original script is a musical comedy set in the East End of London in the late 1960s. The show opens in the Hope Pub, a place that’s seen better days where you’ll meet the local pimp and his tarts, Danny and Tommy, the die-hard regulars and Johnnie Bigg who is initially mistaken for a stripper, among other larger than life characters.
As the show progresses through 4 years, we see changes to the characters and the surroundings. The lead roles of Harry Grimes and Daphne Brown are played by Jim Speakman and Jenny Dexter who are ably supported by 21 other cast members. The audience will experience love, disappointment and bags of laughs in this story of triumph over adversity.
At only 8 euros a ticket, you can’t afford to miss it. Proceeds from ticket sales go to local charities, the main beneficiary being the Torrevieja Alzheimer’s Association.
Tickets are on sale at The Post Box, Quesada, The Post Room, Benijofar, The Card Place, Benimar, Cards and More, La Marina, Kennedy’s Supermarket, Montesinos and Leaf’s (Formerly Marabu Lounge), Quesada.
