Last Saturday, the Provincial Phase of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Open Individual Championship was held at the Calpe Ifach Sports Centre where Torrevieja’s Jennifer Colino Club featured three of its gymnasts.
The club entered the individual category in the senior, infantil and alevin categories, where each of the gymnasts competed with three exercises, achieving the following results:
In the senior category, Giulia Perelli got the Silver Medal in the Absolute General category after performing some exquisite and expressive hoop, club and tape exercises.
The Infantil category saw Lucia Leshan Cañas debuting at this level after finishing as runner-up in Spain last year where she managed to win the Gold Medal after performing some spectacular exercises with hoop and clubs in which she came in 2nd position. Followed by the tape exercise which she won.
In the Alevin category, the torrevejense gymnast Sylvana Muñoz, won the BRONZE MEDAL in the hands-free exercise and came fifth in the absolute general.
After these great results, the three gymnasts have qualified for the Championship of Spain, which will be held in Guadalajara next month.
